C220 CDI W204 2007:

Have removed steering wheel and air bag (not necessary) after removing electricity as part of column removal (ESL motor burn-out in locked position) and now get the following errors:

1 ESP not working
2 RH (driver's) air bag not working
3 Run-flat indicator not working, but there is a work around for it in the user manual
4 Worse, the steering wheel had to be attached 180 deg. as otherwise the plastic parts of the turn indicator would lock the wheel?

Suggestion from a different forum is as I did not remove the universal joint at the spline, the steering wheel will never match up in the correct position and the "clock spring" of the turn indicator will be damaged and I will be stuck with an air bag failure. "Turn indicator": The part below the air bag, which senses the steering position and also flicks back the turn indicator.

Help! Voltage at rest is 12.25V and charging at 13.9V. Deleting the errors with an iCarsoft MB2 diagnostic does not help either. Help!
