The GLA

In January, I picked up a new GLA250 with AMG Line package. It's pretty cool and very different to my previous cars, a DC2 Honda Integra Type R and a EP3 Civic Type R.

First thing I had to do was order replacement number plates as the ones pictured were 11+ years old and have battle scars from track days, stone chips, bugs, exhaust fumes, etc. No annual fee too.

So I've ordered these AMG door pins and I'm yet to install them as it seems like it requires taking off the door cards. Has anyone else tried to DIY install the pins themselves?

I will be ordering them in a month or so also guna get the front two windows tinted... Not used to theSydney sun roasting my Asian skin....

I know for the C class some say the back doors they have to remove the panel... Not sure about the GLA but it should be the same as the CLA, A and B class.

For the A class and CLA you just unscrew the plastic pins but you will need a cloth and pliers, they can be a bit tight - here's a video of the A class

though would it be hard to get them aligned perfectly straight to see the AMG writing?

i did them at carbon car systems (http://carboncartinting.com.au/)
been there with pretty much all my cars, also got the dashcams installed there too
they'll look after you, just mention i sent u there!

i only needed the front windows, rears/sunroof have privacy (though note they don't have uv protection, so u can add layer)

Haven't had time to install the pins yet.
